The vision behind Alewife was to create a welcoming environment for people to explore, discover, and enjoy all that craft beer has to offer. We weren’t interested in opening up a regular package store where you could find a decent beer selection. We wanted to build a community-focused establishment to celebrate and continually rediscover the handcrafted ales and lagers of American craft brewers.

At Alewife we want to both fuel the enthusiasm of beer geeks hunting for that next great bottle of malted perfection, while also taking the craft beer newbie through an exploration of the endless combinations of barley, hops, and yeast that make each beer so unique and delicious.  If you find the sheer number of beer styles out there overwhelming - no problem! That’s why we’re here. We’ve got a team of friendly and knowledgeable staff waiting to talk to you about your tastes and preferences and will help guide you through your purchase. At Alewife we believe there is a beer style out there for everyone – and our mission is to help you discover it.
